Unity At N. LawnDale

Unity at Lawndale is a transformative residential development bringing 33 new homes to Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood through the revitalization of seven vacant lots. Led by Unity Development, the project includes eleven newly constructed 3-flats that combine classic Chicago architectural character with sustainable, cost-effective building practices. This initiative expands homeownership opportunities for middle-income families and supports long-term community investment and neighborhood stability.
Vision for Project
The project seeks to restore homeownership in a historically disinvested neighborhood while preserving the cultural legacy of Bronzeville. Designed for working families, it promotes intergenerational stability and wealth-building through attainable, income-generating housing models and inclusive economic participation—more than 85% of contractors and vendors are certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs).
